The Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences (FISIB) of Universitas Trunojoyo was established on June 12 2008. This was determined by Chancellor's Decree Number 136.a/H46/2008 concerning OPENING OF THE FACULTY OF SOCIAL AND CULTURAL SCIENCES UNIVERSITAS TRUNOJOYO by taking into account the letter from the Director of Higher Education Number: 1676/DT/2008 dated 23 May 2008 and the results of the leadership meeting in June 2008 regarding the determination of the establishment of the Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences.

at that time FISIB supervised three study programs, as follows:

1. Sociology Study Program
2. English Literature Study Program
3. Communication Science Study Program

the three study programs above were previously under the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. each of the study programs above, namely the Sociology Study Program, was established on 18 May 2004 based on the letter of the Director General of Higher Education Number: 1667/D/T/2004, then the English Literature Study Program was established on 29 December 2005 based on the letter from the Director General of Higher Education Number: 4150/D/T/2005, then the Communication Science Study Program was established on June 15 2005 in accordance with the letter from the Director General of Higher Education Number: 2002/D/T/2005.

After the Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences was officially established in 2008, a year later , on July 15 2009, in accordance with a letter from the Director General of Higher Education Number: 1154/D/T/2009, a new study program was established, namely the Psychology Study Program. now there are four study programs established under the auspices of the Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences, Universitas Trunojoyo Madura, namely:

1. Sociology Study Program
2. English Literature Study Program
3. Communication Science Study Program
4. Program Studi Psikologi

Dr. H. Moh. Amir Hamzah, SH., MH., He was the first Dean to lead FISIB from 2008 to 2010. At that time he still served as Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Trunojoyo Madura, so he held two positions as dean. It was only in October 2010 that a Dean was elected, who in fact came from the FISIB Lecturers themselves through the FISIB Senate Meeting, namely:

Dr. Suryo Tri Saksono from 2010 to 2011 until finally he was elected and trusted to occupy the position of Assistant Chancellor I of Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. After he served as Assistant Chancellor I, Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences (FISIB) again edited the figure of a dean from the Faculty of Law lecturers. This was done because FISIB did not yet have a lecturer who met the requirements to sit as a Dean and finally at the FISIB Senate Meeting the following were elected:

Dr. Indien Winarwati, S.H., M.H., She was the first and only female Dean at Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. He served as dean of FISIB from 2011 to 2013. After his term of office ended, voting was held for the first time to elect leadership candidates within Universitas Trunojoyo Madura.

Likewise with the procedures for selecting the next Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences dean using voting by all elements of FISIB Lecturers, Staff Employees and Students, each of whom has the right to vote to select and vote for the dean candidate of their choice.

At the time there were still no FISIB lecturers who met the requirements and there were only two people who ran for the position of FISIB dean, namely:

1. Dr. Indien Winarwati, S.H., M.H
2. Dr. H. Moh. Amir Hamzah, SH.,MH

in the voting process Dr. H. Moh. Amir Hamzah, SH.,MH had a superior vote share compared to Dr. Indien Winarwati, S.H., M.H. So Dr. H. Moh. Amir Hamzah, S.H., M.H, the first Dean of FISIB, was re-elected to occupy the position of Dean of FISIB with a term of office starting from 2013 to 2017
